Under the Lemon Moon

In this story set in the Mexican countryside, a young girl named Rosalinda is heartbroken when a mysterious stranger steals all the lemons from her prized tree. To make matters worse, after the lemons are stolen, the tree grows sick and begins to die. At first Rosalinda asks her family and neighbors for advice but when none of them are able to help her, she sets off in search of La Anciana, a mythical healing figure also known as The Old One. While searching for La Anciana, Rosalinda encounters the man who stole her lemons and realizes why he committed the crime. With the help of La Anciana Rosalinda is able to save her tree, but it is her own generosity and forgiveness that enable her to help the man who was compelled to steal her lemons. Watercolor and pastel illustrations accompany the text.

Frightmare (DVD)

A group of high school teenagers decide to host a haunted house part in order to finance their senior trip. When a girl is brutally killed during the fright fest, it sets off a string of murders that force the haunted house to be shut down. The town police believe the killings to be the handy work of a serial killer they've been previously trying to hunt down. Now all of the students at Sugar Hill are on edge!
