Shot on digital video, the Japanese horror film CURSED follows in the vengeful ghost tradition of THE RING and THE GRUDGE. Nao Shingaki is one of the part-time workers at a local convenience store, where she begins to notice a series of strange events. The backlot smells absolutely dreadful. The boss cackles with glee over the terrible injuries of others, while his wife stares at the security cameras in a trance. A threatening spirit seems to have taken over the soul of the night clerk. As this bizarre situation grows worse, Nao struggles to find out the cause of it all, as well as trying to escape with her life and soul intact.
